A Life Transformed by God’s Grace

Yo me llamo Dominga Gaspar. Mi testimonio se centra en los problemas que tenía con mi pareja desde que me junté con él. Siempre tuvo problemas con el alcohol, y cuando estaba alcoholizado, siempre discutíamos, peleábamos y gritábamos delante de nuestros hijos. Cuando él consumía alcohol, las cosas empeoraban; no nos llevábamos bien, y eso me hacía enojar y sentirme perdida, sumida en la depresión y el vacío, como si una muerte en vida me hubiera atrapado, incapaz de levantarme o encontrar esperanza.

Buscaba respuestas en mí misma y en el mundo, pero sólo encontraba más desilusión. Un día decidí salir a caminar sola, buscando a alguien que cuidara a mi hija pequeña. Me encontré con una amiga que me invitó a la iglesia y a un estudio bíblico. Ese día, el pastor oró por mí.

Seguí asistiendo a la iglesia junto con mi pareja, y hubo un día en que me invitaron a un encuentro. Ahí es donde Dios cambió mi vida. Tuve una conexión profunda con Él. Dios me salvó. Fue entonces cuando entendí que la salvación no viene por mis obras, sino por la gracia de Dios, a través de la fe en Cristo.

Me entregué completamente a Él y decidí vivir para Dios y no para mis propios deseos.

My name is Dominga Gaspar. My testimony centers on the problems I had with my partner since we got together. He always had issues with alcohol, and when he was drunk, we would always argue, fight, and yell in front of our children. When he drank, things only got worse; we did not get along, and that made me angry and feel lost, sinking into depression and emptiness, as if a living death had trapped me, unable to get up or find hope.

I sought answers within myself and in the world, but I only found more disappointment. One day, I decided to go for a walk alone, looking for someone to watch over my little daughter. I met a friend who invited me to church and to a Bible study. That day, the pastor prayed for me.

I continued attending church along with my partner, and one day I was invited to a retreat. That was when God changed my life. I had a deep connection with Him. God saved me. It was then that I understood that salvation does not come from my works, but by the grace of God through faith in Christ.

I surrendered completely to Him and decided to live for God and not for my own desires.
